We all want to make ourselves the most attractive person so we can have every man fall in love with us. But what if our clothes and makeup were only half of the battle?
We don't all have to be a size two and have hundreds of dollars worth of makeup to get any man to accept us. Thankfully the media is starting to catch on to this mentality as well.
Certain habits will make you attractive to any man. These habits aren't super unachievable like getting down to a size two, but it will take some work to make these qualities habits in your life.
I'm not talking about the person who is fake and pretends that bad things never happen to them. I'm talking about being glass-half-full type of people. There are certain people you can always rely on to look at the bright side of a situation.
"Researchers have found that when subjects 'catch' positive emotions from others, they're more likely to be viewed by others and view themselves as more cooperative and competent. They also perceive themselves as more collegial," says Sherrie Carter, author and psychologist.
"Simply put, when you hang out with happy people, you tend to feel happier, have more energy, and feel less stressed."
After a long day of work you want to be with someone that will make you happy, rather than just complain about what is not going well in their life. You can be that someone for your man.
Someone who has friends is an attractive person. You know they are willing to build up others, and you want to have that in your life. This doesn't mean you must have 50 close friends who you are constantly texting. This means that you have people outside of your romantic relationship.
Lifehacker said, "When you're in a relationship, it's often pretty easy to rely on each other for everything. That's great, but it's important to maintain friendships outside of that. Various surveys show that happy couples maintain friendships and hobbies outside the relationship."
Men don't want to date clingy women. They want to date independent women who are willing to be partners in life. If you are confident and friendly, you will be more attractive.
No one wants to be with someone who already feels like an old cat lady. No, you don't have to do things that make you uncomfortable, but if you are constantly saying no because you would rather read, watch a movie or sit at home, you will have a harder time connecting with men.
Men like to talk, but they usually prefer to talk while they are doing something else. So try that new restaurant, bike through the city or explore a new store. Nobody wants to have to drag their sweetheart around town. If you are willing to do new things, they will want to be with you.
"The more you invest in fun and friendship and being there for your partner, the happier the relationship will get over time," says Howard Markman, a psychologist who co-directs the University of Denver's Center for Marital and Family Studies. "The correlation between fun and marital happiness is high, and significant."
Trying new things can be scary, but it's fun to explore, work and experience all that life has to offer.
To sum it up, men are attracted to happy, sociable women who are willing to try new things. This may sound hard, but if you make small goals, you can achieve great things.
