It's so easy to get caught up in everyday life — from taking care of the kids to making sure everyone's happy, sometimes you forget your husband has need, too.
It's understandable and totally normal that you have other responsibilities that need to be taken care of (not to mention needing to secure some "me time" every so often). And being the woman your husband fell in love with doesn't mean you have to do your hair and makeup every day, but you should be making an effort to show your hubby you love him, put him first and care about him.
(Oh and keep in mind husbands should do these things for their wives as well! This goes both ways.)
Here are a few ways you can keep being the woman of your husband's dreams:
Take him his favorite treat while he's at work, school or wherever else he is throughout the day. He'll appreciate the kind gesture and he'll feel loved knowing you were thinking of him.
Saying "thank you" goes a long way. Your husband does so much for you and your family, so it's important to him that you notice his efforts. You don't have to thank him for every little thing, but try thanking him for something different every day.
Being flirty with your hubby keeps the romance alive and well. Send flirty texts throughout the day, make up code words that you can say in front of the kids that you two only know the meaning to and hold hands whenever you can.
Love languages are so important in a marriage. Take the test together and figure out how your husband feels loved, then act on what you learn. If he feels love through service, do something for him he would never ask you to do. He'll be so appreciative.
If his friends are important to him, make an effort to get to know them. Your sweetheart will appreciate the fact that you're trying to get to know someone who matters to him, and he'll be happy to show you off to his friends.
My husband absolutely loves to camp, and he gets so excited when I go with him. Although camping isn't my favorite thing to do, he appreciates that I try to enjoy what he enjoys. Plus, you always end up having a good time as long as you're together.
You probably have something in your closet that makes you feel great, which makes your husband love it too. Wear it out on a date or just around the house — he'll love it. You could even do something different with your hair or makeup just to shake things up a bit (although your husband thinks you're beautiful no matter what).
When you and your hubby were dating, you probably treated him differently than how you do now. Look back on those times when you would get ready for each other, make an effort to go on fun dates and were a prime example of PDA. You don't have to change all your habits, just make small changes to make him feel extra loved.
There's nothing more attractive to your husband than when you're being completely yourself. He loves you for your silly quirks, your late night panic attacks and everything in between. After all, you're the woman he chose to spend the rest of his life with.
Doing these nine things will show your husband a little extra love — we all need that every once in a while.
