After a five-year hiatus, The Killers have a new song.
As culture website Uproxx reported, The Killers made due on a promise to release a new song, called "The Man," which will be included in the band's forthcoming album, "Wonderful Wonderful."
"A choir and some undeniable, crunchy bass backs up his assertions that he's really the man come 'round," according to Uproxx. "It's the funkiest reference to death you'll hear today, that's for sure."
This song contains mild language.
Few details are known about the band's new album. There's no official release date or tracklist.
Lead singer Brandon Flowers offered some details about the album in an interview with BBC, which you can listen to here.
The Killers also debuted a song called "Run For Cover" June 12 at a show in Atlantic City, according to NME.com.
The song, he said, was originally supposed to run on the band's third album, "Day & Age."
"I never got the lyrics right, and I think I'm gonna get it right this time. 'Run For Cover' looks like it's got a good shot (of being on the album)," he said.
Fox Sports Australia reported that the new Killers' album will likely debut Sept. 20. The band will perform at the Australian Football League's grand final, which happens "10 days" after the new album release.
This hasn't been confirmed by the band yet, though.
The Killers' last traditional album was "Battle Born" in 2012. The band also released a Christmas-themed album this past winter.
